Which embassies do we service?
We deliver to and collect from all embassies in Pretoria and Johannesburg, with a few exceptions — the Pakistan Embassy and Home Affairs are not serviced in Pretoria, and at the USA Embassy in Johannesburg we deliver only (collection requires DHL).
Morocco, Israel, Lithuania and China (Pretoria & Johannesburg) require appointments — for Israel, Lithuania and China the client makes the appointment themselves.

How long does a SAPS police clearance certificate take?
The SAPS promises 15 working days (about three weeks) once your fingerprints reach the Criminal Record Centre. The Criminal Record Centre is currently up to date with no backlog, so the normal process takes around 3 weeks.
When the SAPS experiences a breakdown or backlog, the same process can stretch to 6 weeks. The timeframe is determined only by the SAPS — no service provider can shorten it.
Can I pay extra for an ‘expedited’ police clearance?
No — be very careful of anyone selling ‘expedited’ police clearances. We deal daily with customers who paid exorbitant amounts for expedited certificates, and it is usually only discovered when the certificate is rejected by the foreign government that asked for it.
Only the SAPS determines how long a police clearance takes. If an offer sounds too good to be true, it is.
Can I apply for a police clearance from outside South Africa?

My police clearance is taking long — can you follow up with the SAPS?
Yes, we offer a CRC follow-up service. Email us a copy of your ID and your reference number and we will follow up on your application at the Criminal Record Centre and report back on its status.
Which embassies do you deliver to and collect from?
In Pretoria we do delivery and collection at all embassies, except the Pakistan Embassy and Home Affairs. In Johannesburg we do delivery and collection at all embassies, except the USA Embassy where we do deliveries only — DHL is required for collections there.
Note that the Morocco, Israel, Lithuania and China embassies (Pretoria & Johannesburg) require appointments for delivery and collection. For Israel, Lithuania and China, the client makes the appointment themselves.

What do I need for an apostille or document authentication?
Tell us which documents you would like to have legalized and which country they are for. Depending on the destination country, documents are legalized by DIRCO with an Apostille Certificate or a Certificate of Authentication, and we will confirm the right route, costs and timeline for your situation.
Can an old criminal record be removed from my name?
A criminal record is not erased automatically — you have to apply for an expungement to have the record removed from your name. We assist with the full expungement application process.
What does it cost and how do I pay?
Every service has separate cost components: the government fee (for example the SAPS fee), the PostNet service fee, and courier costs where documents need to travel. We always show these separately, with payment details for each, when we reply to your inquiry — so you know exactly what you are paying for before you commit.
